Boston area bakery selects Trace-It Warehouse Management System: (UPDATE)
Signature Breads, taking over the General Mills plants in Chelsea MA and Tempe AZ, needed new business software to replace the SAP system owned by General Mills. Scheduled to loose use of the GM software at the end of March 2007, Signature had only 5 months to identify a software vendor, release contracts, and implement a completely new system or face huge daily penalties for continuing to operate with the GM software.
Signature Breads selected Atlanta based Ross Systems ERP Business Software and (on Ross's recommendation) selected Trace-It Systems Trace-It software to provide the Warehouse Management and Order Fulfillment System. While Signature was losing the General Mills software they were retaining all hardware including fork lift terminals, scanners and bar-code printers. Trace-ItÂ’s ability to automatically interchange data with Ross and to work with existing hardware, plus a commitment to have software ready for the go-live date were primary reasons for their selection. Both systems will be linked together into one seamless software solution, meeting the clients operational and delivery needs. Trace-It software will receive and inventory raw materials, build and maintain finished goods inventory, pre-assign storage location of raw and finished product and process sales orders utilizing the existing hardware. Illinois Pork Plant selects Trace-It :
Pork King Packing of Marengo IL completes implementation of Trace-It's total data collection solution. Previously Pork King was strictly a hand recording operation both in the collection of production data as well as warehouse operations. The Trace-It implementation included installation of fully wireless Scale/Printing stations for carton and combo weighing, an automated rail scale for hot carcass weighing and connected the livestock providing instant yield reporting once a lot has been completed. Additionally Pork King implemented Trace-It's Warehouse Management System with Sales Order Fulfillment.
Startup operation selects Trace-It's full Data Collection solution:
Heartland Food Services, located in the south side of Chicago is a manufacturer of Fresh Corn Beef and Sliced Bacon. After severing relationship with a partner company earlier this month they suddenly found themselves without a Warehouse Management or Sales Order Fulfillment System. Their finished product scales, while being able to product labels were not networked and did not provide needed real time production information or inventory update. Product traceability was a challenge leaving the company at risk should a product recall be required.
I had used Trace-It's Data Collection and Warehouse Management System with two previous companies stated Patrick Keable, Heartlands Accounting Manager, and knew their system would fit our needs perfectly.
Trace-it moved quickly to install a scanning system to work with the non-standard barcodes already on our entire inventory and within 3 days we were scanning cartons and pallets to orders says Patrick. Trace-It also installed software that would allow a physical inventory to be taken.
Within 30 days after contracting with Trace-It we were up and running with new networked scaling and labeling stations providing the complainant barcode labels needed along with the real time production data required to eliminate hand recording and calculation of lot and production totals.
Trace-it also furnished and installed new servers and implemented a completely new wireless network through our our facility.
